PKNIC charges a maintenance fee, typically referred to as the registration price. The PK domain price structure differs for registrants based in Pakistan and registrants located outside Pakistan — the PK registration price for Pakistani residents is almost half that of non-residents.

Standard .PK Registration Price

PK domains are registered on a biennial basis, i.e. a two-year period. The same price applies across the standard extensions.

PK price for federal government domains

PK domains that end with “gov.pk” are reserved for Pakistan’s Federal Government, and specifically for departments at the Ministry level.

gov.pk is exempted from maintenance charges It will be registered free when proper documentation is provided. Documentation needed: a stamped letter from the departmental head.

If documentation is not provided, the standard PK registration price is applicable.

The registration fee exception is not available if a federal level department is not unique and operates at a provincial level.
