By default, remote MySQL connections are disabled at many hosting providers’ ends due to security reasons. If you don’t have the option in your Cpanel ask your hosting provider to enable it.
There are multiple programs available that are used to connect remotely to your DB. Dreamweaver is also used to connect your database remotely.

Remote MySQL Connection

In order to allow remote connection from cPanel it is essential that you know your IP address that would be accessing the DB. In order to know your ip you can go to the site https://www.whatismyip.com/.

1. log in to your domain’s cPanel
2. Scroll down to the “Databases” section. Click on the icon “Remote MySQL.”

 

3. Enter your ip address and click the button Add Host.
